Final choice before 31 May 2027 in Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Lebanon and Benin. Programmes outside the platform (BTS, preparatory classes, DCG) go through Parcoursup from January 2027; private schools not connected to the platform are handled after admission, through the « Je suis accepté » procedure.
The Études en France procedure in 9 steps
- Build your plan. Choose your programmes in the catalogue, check whether each institution is connected to Études en France and what its admission requirements are, and register for the French test if your country requires it.
- Create an account and a file. One account and one file per candidate, on etudesenfrance.diplomatie.gouv.fr (new address since 1 October 2026).
- Fill in the file. Personal details, your studies since the baccalaureate with the scanned documents, language skills, CV if requested.
- Build your list and write the motivations. Up to 7 programmes in most countries, one motivation per programme.
- Submit and pay. Submit before your country’s deadline, then pay the Campus France fees (in Algeria, within 48 hours). Correct the file if Campus France sends it back.
- Attend the interview. Book the slot within the time given (15 days in Morocco, 72 hours in Algeria, 7 days in Senegal) and come with all your originals.
- Follow the institutions’ answers. Institutions answer on the platform, usually until the end of April.
- Confirm your final choice. Before 31 May 2027 in most countries; download the certificate or the prior enrolment agreement.
- Apply for the visa. Fill in France-Visas, book an appointment with your country’s provider, file the application with the proof of funds of €877.50 per month.
Your deadlines, to tick as the campaign goes on
Next to each step, write down your country’s date, read from the table.
October and November 2026
Before the filing deadline
From December to March
From April to August 2027
« Je suis candidat » or « Je suis accepté »: two paths
« Je suis candidat » (I am applying): you apply through the platform to connected programmes (Licence 1 through the DAP, demande d’admission préalable, architecture, BUT, Licence 2 to Master’s in connected universities, some public schools). The calendar above applies.
« Je suis accepté » (I have been accepted): you were admitted outside the platform (private school, Parcoursup, CampusArt). You declare the admission in your file, then follow the pre-consular procedure: in Senegal, from 1 April to 15 July 2027; in Benin, until 15 June 2027; in Morocco, within the 3 months before arrival. Before paying a private school, check that it is recognised: an institution that does not answer the consulate gets the visa refused.
What changed in autumn 2026
- New platform since 1 October 2026: etudesenfrance.diplomatie.gouv.fr. Several country sites still link to the old "Pastel" address.
- Funds to prove: €877.50 per month for visas requested since 1 August 2026, instead of €615.
- Higher fees in India: 20,000 INR since 1 August 2026 (18,500 INR before).
Candidates’ questions about the calendar
Have Campus France applications opened?
Yes: the campaign for the September 2027 intake opened on 1 October 2026 on the new platform etudesenfrance.diplomatie.gouv.fr.
What is the deadline?
It depends on the country and the level: 15 November 2026 in Morocco; 30 November 2026 outside the DAP and 15 December 2026 for the DAP in Algeria; 11 December 2026 (DAP) and 18 December 2026 in Tunisia; 15 December 2026 in Senegal; 15 December 2026 (DAP) and 1 February 2027 in Cameroon; 15 December 2026 and 31 January 2027 in Lebanon; first submission before 20 November 2026 in Benin.
My TCF appointment is in December but the deadline is in November. What do I do?
In Morocco, the payment receipt or the test invitation is accepted when you file. In Algeria, no: the result must be entered before submission. Elsewhere, ask your Espace Campus France.
I did not receive the email to open my Pastel account. What should I do?
Since 1 October 2026, the platform is no longer Pastel but etudesenfrance.diplomatie.gouv.fr. Create your account at this address; all communication then goes through the platform’s messaging.
I already have an account from a previous year. Do I need to create another one?
One account and one file per candidate (Morocco, Algeria). How old accounts move to the new platform is not described on the pages we read to be confirmed: ask your Espace Campus France before creating a duplicate.
How many programmes can I choose?
Up to 7 in most countries. In Senegal: 3 in Licence 1, 2 architecture schools, 7 for a BUT or from Licence 2 to Master’s. In Morocco, after 15 November, you can only remove choices.
Can I change the file after validation?
Campus France sends incomplete files back for correction. In Senegal, only one return for correction is allowed; in Côte d’Ivoire, after two corrections not made, the file is not validated. Tell your Espace before changing a file that is already validated.
Until when must I confirm my choice?
Before 31 May 2027 in Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Lebanon and Benin.

A coach that reviews your file and runs a mock interview
The coach checks that your file is complete and that your texts tell the same story, then puts you through a mock interview with the questions asked in your country and tells you what the adviser will hear.
Entretien France, an independent coach: the first try is free, out loud.
Independent site, not affiliated with Campus France. The coach never logs into your Études en France account, never fills in an official form and never promises an admission or a visa.
